Space Creator Day 2023

This weekend our NEUESWagen was on display at the Technikmuseum Speyer. Not as an exhibit, of course, but as a point of contact for real space materials. As an exhibitor at the Space Creator Day 2023, we were in good company with around 800 space enthusiasts. From early in the morning until late at night, we were not only able to talk about smart materials in space. We were also able to introduce our members. Our conclusion: the largest meet & greet of the European space community was an absolute highlight.

SpielzeugMacherFestival Seiffen

Networking - a piece of cake? At the SpielzeugMacherFestival in the toy village of Seiffen in the Ore Mountains, you could at least get that impression.

For the second time, the DENKSTATT Erzgebirge team invited all manufacturers of toys and wooden art. Around 100 guests accepted the invitation to network, be inspired and develop ideas together, and they could not have been more diverse: the Erzgebirge Association of Arts and Crafts and Toy Manufacturers, Burg Giebichenstein - University of Art and Design Halle, the Ravensburger and Hennessy companies. Toy Manufacturers, Burg Giebichenstein - University of Art and Design Halle, the companies Ravensburger and HABA, the city of Seiffen, the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025 gGmbH, the company Sina Spielzeug, the MitMach shops in Olbernhau, many regional craftspeople from Seiffen and the surrounding area, the Wirtschaftsförderung Erzgebirge GmbH, the Erzgebirge Queen of Storytelling Dr. Sylva-Michèle Sternkopf and, of course, scientists from our member Fraunhofer IWU.

We had the opportunity to present our latest material innovations and research results to the audience as part of a presentation of the NEUESwagen - interesting discussions and follow-up appointments included.

ETO Magnetic open house

Stockach at Lake Constance is not exactly "around the corner", but we like to drive every kilometer to our member ETO. This time we went to their open house - and literally opened all our doors. The picture shows the calm before the storm, as the crowds were huge throughout the day. We are delighted to have been there and to have shared so much about the exciting world of smart materials.

Workshop at INNOVENT e.V.

This time it was time for us to go to Plauen! Our member INNOVENT e.V. invited us to the workshop "New Materials & Manufacturing Processes - Facets & Opportunities for the Protection of Cultural Assets". While the experts in the Malzhaus discussed manufacturing processes, preservation and research needs, we were able to show practical examples of the use of intelligent materials with our mobile research vehicle.

Day of industry & science

Thirsty for knowledge, open-minded and extremely likeable: these are the employees of SITEC Industrietechnologie GmbH. More than 300 people work for the Chemnitz-based company, which specializes in plant engineering with series production and special machine construction. Many of them have taken the big step into the world of smart materials and visited us in the NEUESwagen. Minister of State Gemkow put it in a nutshell on Industry and Science Day 2022: Future makers need hubs to network with business and science. It's great that we are one of them.

25 years ETO MAGNETIC

Stop #3 on our tour: Stockack on Lake Constance. Our member and award-winner in the category "Special Commitment in the Network", the ETO GRUPPE with Dr. Markus Laufenberg, had invited us to celebrate the company's anniversary. Gluing, tinkering, painting and exploring the topic of smart materials in many different ways: many young and old inventors, knowledge enthusiasts and perhaps the researchers of tomorrow bravely crossed the threshold of the Science Mobile.

Zukunftsimpulse 2022+

Our NEUESwagen made its second stop at our 1st innovation conference “Zukunftsimpulse 2022+”. The event was intended to provide plenty of space for exchanging ideas and learning about smart and programmable materials. The plan worked and we all got to know each other even better.

MRD Industry Day

After more than 2 years of Corona abstinence, the NEUESwagen is back on tour. Our first stop was Bochum. 1.090 kilometers driven. 37 smoothies drunk. 42 visitors crossed the entrance of the NEUESwagen. Our first "ride" was exciting and a successful start of our tour through Germany.
